The e-book concept is driven by the need to provide users of linear mixed effects models with a free and easily accessible reference. The e-book is written around real examples but covers relevant theory for each application. Chapters will be updated if necessary, while new ones added over time. The e-book (and this site) presents a new approach which contrasts the philosophy of much free software which is accompanied by expensive books and courses to help with the appropriate implementation of the ideas.
